If you are trying to install a VMS antenna on your GM truck with the correct M7x1.0 to M6x10 adapter and the antenna will not fit because it is below the plastic cowl, this is the extender that you need in order to clear the cowl. Most customers just trim a little out of the cowl, but if you do not want to do this you can just buy this extender. You can also use it if you just want the antenna to sit higher and be more visible.
